In a similar vein, authorities in Abu Dhabi have announced that parking will be free for locals during the Eid Al Fitr celebrations.
From Thursday, April 20 until the end of the Eid al Fitr holidays, the Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) of the Department of Municipalities and Transport in the UAE has announced that Mawaqif surface parking costs will be waived.
During the Eid holiday, the ITC also announced that the Musaffah M-18 truck parking lot will be free of charge.
In addition, the Darb toll gate system will be free of charge beginning this Thursday through the end of the Eid holidays, when toll gate prices will be reinstated during peak hours (between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.).
While announcing the fantastic deal that would allow families take full advantage of life in the emirate, the ITC urged motorists to refrain from parking illegally and obstructing traffic.
The authorities have asked motorists to park legally and only in specified places between the hours of 9 p.m. and 8 a.m.This will guarantee that everyone is helped and that no complications arise.
It should be noted that beginning on Thursday, April 20, all Customers’ Happiness Centres in Abu Dhabi will be closed until the end of the holidays.
Customers can still apply for ITC services online via the TAMM platform, as well as the Darbi and Darb websites and apps.
