Infinix launched its first laptop in the Indian market yesterday. These new laptops by Infinix (Infinix InBook X1) feature Full HD display, 10th gen Intel Core i3, Core i5, and Core i7 processor, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of SSD storage. After the introduction of the first laptops for the Indian market, it now looks like the brand is prepping up to introduce the first 5G smartphone soon in the country. According to the information shared by Infinix CEO Anish Kapoor with Giznext, Infinix will soon launch their first 5G smartphone in India by January. Apart from the 5G handset, Infinix also has plans of launching seven more devices in India in the first half of 2022, as per the CEO.
Infinix 5G Smartphone Confirmed To Launch By January 2022
Infinix has introduced almost 14 smartphones this year, and it has plans to launch the same number of devices in 2022 as well. In a piece of related news, the company is also prepping up to launch the Infinix Note 11 series smartphone – the Infinix Note 11 and Note 11S in India on December 13th. As per the details revealed by Infinix CEO in interaction with Giznext, the Infinix Note 11 and Note 11S smartphones will be priced at under Rs 15,000. Furthermore, Infinix also has plans to launch its first 5G smartphone in India by January 2022, as confirmed by the CEO. The company’s upcoming 5G handset is said to utilize MediaTek’s processor. The pricing of this upcoming 5G smartphone is will be between Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000. The Infinix 5G smartphone shall compete with the likes of the Poco M3 Pro 5G, Realme 8S 5G in India when it goes official.
Apart from the first 5G handset, the company also has plans to launch approximately seven smartphones in the first half of the next year. Apart from the smartphone launches, Infinix also is planning to introduce another laptop in India next year. The company’s next laptop is said to launch in the first half of the next year and it will be aggressively priced, as per the CEO. The brand also further is expected to expand the smart TV segment and has plans to introduce a 55-inch TV at the same time next year.
Infinix CEO Anish Kapoor also said that the company is in talks with the telecom operators and will conduct trials when the device will be available. There are no details available as to what will be the name of the company’s first smartphone. Several reports suggest that the brand will launch its first 5G handset with Infinix Zero 5G moniker. The details about this handset were revealed by Tech Arena24 YouTube channel a few days back. As per the leaked specifications, the device is tipped to feature a 120Hz AMOLED display with a punch-hole cutout, Dimensity 900 5G chipset, and a triple-camera setup at the back.
