The federal government has approved the Potha Interchange, which would connect the Mansehra-Muzaffarabad Motorway with the Hazara Motorway, for Rs. 2 billion.
According to sources, former MNA Captain (r) Safdar revealed that the prime minister had approved spending Rs. 2 billion to build the Potha Interchange for the Mansehra-Muzaffarabad Motorway Project, which had previously been approved to connect Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
Moreover, despite its distance from the Mansehra-Muzaffarabad Motorway, he claimed that the Badra Interchange linked the Hazara Motorway with the Karakoram Highway and Mansehra city.
He stated that the Potha Interchange would reduce the distance that residents of Mansehra city and its suburbs had to travel to access the Hazara Motorway from the Qalandarabad Interchange.
The former MNA also claimed that the Mansehra-Muzaffarabad Motorway, one of the PML-N administration’s massive construction projects, would shorten the distance between KP and AJK.
The Hazara Motorway, he claims, will pass through the Bakrial region before connecting to the Mansehra-Muzaffarabad Motorway via Barari.
He also stated that the largest grid station in Asia will be inaugurated during the prime minister’s next visit to the district.
Safdar also chastised the PTI administration for failing to meet people’s aspirations for regional and global development.
