Kia Lucky Motor Corporation’s (KLMC) decline is visible in its dwindling sales. According to a recent Autojournal.pk report, KLMC sold just over 290 units in November 2022, a decrease of nearly 460 units or 61% from the previous month.
According to the report, the company provides ready delivery of its vehicles as well as booking with a price lock. It goes on to say that KLMC has over a thousand vehicles in its inventory, but the company is struggling with sales.
Dealership Closure
Last week, KLMC announced the permanent closure of one of its dealerships in Karachi. The Kia Motors Shahrah-e-Faisal plant has been closed since January 1, 2023..
In an official announcement, the company clarified:
The only reason for the closure of Kia Motors Shahrah-e-Faisal showroom was the expiry of our lease agreement with the landlord which couldn’t be renewed.
Customers who reserved vehicles at the dealership will receive them from Kia Motors Lucky One, another company-operated dealership in Karachi located in the Lucky One Mall.
Kia’s expanding electrified lineup aided its strong sales figures, with electrified powertrains available on the majority of its models, including the all-new Sportage, Niro, and Ceed. Kia’s top three best-sellers remained the same in October, with the Sportage selling 12,563 units, the Ceed model family selling 10,278 units, and the all-new Niro range selling 5,985 units.
