The all-electric Kia EV6 was named “Best EV of 2022” by The Drive’s editorial team in the publication’s first awards distribution.
The EV6’s styling, driving dynamics, occupant comfort, and all-electric range, according to The Drive editors, helped it stand out in the electric-vehicle segment.
The EV6 was chosen from among the top-ranked electric vehicles as determined by The Drive editors over the previous 12 months of vehicle evaluations. Kia’s pure electric sensation has already won numerous prestigious awards, including the “What Car? Award” in 2022, the “European Car of the Year” Award in 2022, and the “German Premium Car of the year Award” in 2022.
Kyle Cheromcha, The Drive’s editor-in-chief, claims that:
“Our team has been consistently and extremely impressed with the Kia EV6—the level of thought and care that went into crafting a more approachable and affordable electric vehicle is obvious. It’s got head-turning design, a usable range, excellent performance and handling, and a great suite of advanced driver assistance features. And to have all of that protected by an exceptional factory limited warranty—this is the kind of car that actually gets people to switch to an EV, instead of merely considering it.”
The EV6 is an important part of Kia’s “Plan S” strategy, which aims to launch at least two battery-electric vehicles (BEVs) per year by 2027, with a total lineup of 14 BEVs.
