Xiaomi will launch its new flagship smartphones in China later this year. The company will debut the flagship Xiaomi 12 series in China on December 28. At least three premium smartphones are expected to debut at the event. These include the vanilla 12, the Xiaomi 12X and the Xiaomi 12 Pro. The company has started teasing some key details and features of its upcoming flagship devices. The latest teaser revolves around the display features of the Xiaomi 12 series. The devices are expected to arrive soon in India. While we wait for the India launch details, let’s take a look at the Xiaomi 12 series display specs and features teased ahead of the launch.
Xiaomi 12 series display features
Xiaomi 12 series will come with top-of-the-line display specs. The company’s latest teaser confirms four such key features of the device. As expected from a premium Xiaomi smartphone, the flagship series will sport an AMOLED display.
Xiaomi has also confirmed that the display will have a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, which is the toughest offering from Corning for smartphone displays. It will come with a peak brightness of 1600 nits, which is slightly less than the Mi 11 Ultra’s 1700 nits display. Lastly, the device has scored a rating of A+ on DisplayMate.
The teasers also confirm that the device will sport a hole-punch display. There is a cutout at the top centre of the screen. As per reports, Xiaomi 12 will have a 6.2-inch screen, whereas the Pro model will have a 6.67-inch display. The screen is slightly curved to offer an immersive viewing experience.
The company has not revealed any other specs. We can expect the devices to draw power from a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. The vanilla model could feature 67W/ 100W fast charging support, whereas the 12 Pro is likely to support 120W fast charging. Both phones could come with a 50MP triple-camera setup on the back.
