Today, Tecno unveiled its latest innovation from its R&D labs: the Phantom Ultimate concept phone with a sliding screen.
Tecno’s Latest Innovation
This innovative device is meant to extend sideways, effortlessly extending its display from 6.55 inches to 7.11 inches in 1.2 to 1.3 seconds.
The Phantom Ultimate, Tecno’s second concept device, is similar to the Vision V model but for the absence of the folding mechanism.

Techno Screen Sliding Feature
The Phantom Ultimate’s screen sliding feature is simple to use because to its single motor mechanism. The smartphone extends with the easy push of a button on the upper right side of the phone.
The best aspect is that, even when the screen is not stretched, the extra display runs around the back to operate as an Always On display for notifications, time and date, and other information.
The display’s features include a 7.11-inch On-cell LTPO AMOLED panel with a resolution of 2,296 x 1,596 pixels and a pixel density of 388 PPI.
It claims to cover the entire DCI-P3 colour gamut, while confirming such values for a concept device is difficult.
The device has a base thickness of 9.93 mm, and Tecno assures customers that it can be operated easily with one hand. The device’s sliding mechanism is protected by glass, and the back is textured for a better grip.
However, because it is simply a concept phone, it will not be available in stores for commercial use, and Tecno has not stated anything about market availability.
Rollable screen phones must still overcome various technological obstacles before they can be as useful as ordinary phones, and there is no indication of when this will occur.
