Shadab Khan, the captain of Islamabad United, has reached a remarkable milestone in his T20 career after dismissing Aamir Jamal in the 17th over of the second innings, giving him 300 T20 wickets.
Islamabad met Peshawar Zalmi at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in the 20th match of the season, and the two-time PSL champions’ captain claimed two wickets in his fourth over of the period, finishing with outstanding statistics of 3-41.
It was Aamir Jamal vs Shadab Khan, and after the pinch hitter blasted the spinner for a couple of sixes, Shadab Khan responded with a bang, dismissing the dangerous batter after a magnificent innings of 87 off 49 balls.
It was a critical game for Islamabad United, and their captain delivered a man-of-the-match performance, first scoring 80 runs off 47 balls and then taking three wickets to stop Zalmi in their tracks, resulting in 7 points after six PSL matches.
Islamabad United will now face Lahore Qalandars on March 6 at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
