On Friday, Punjab launched its satellite internet initiative in schools, with the goal of bridging the digital divide. Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz inaugurated the pilot project at DPS Model Town.
Signing of the MoU
During the signing of the MoU, a UAE delegation led by Sheikh Ahmed Dalmouk Al Maktoum was present.

UAE Delegation
During discussions between the two sides, the UAE delegation emphasised the significance of satellite internet in improving digital access, particularly in remote areas.
Sheikh Ahmed Dalmouk Al Maktoum expressed his excitement about the project’s potential to support young talent and promote technological innovation.
Collaboration
The collaboration between One Web, ADM Holdings, and the Punjab government represents a concerted effort to achieve the region’s digital goals.
Maryam Nawaz promised a digitally empowered Punjab.
Reaffirming the government’s commitment to providing laptop computers and satellite internet access to students. Senator Pervez Rasheed and Senior Provincial Minister Maryam Aurangzeb were also present.
