Member (Administration) PTA Major. G Rehman was named the Authority’s new chairman by the federal government just last week.
After 37 years in the field, Rehman is an accomplished technologist who has worked in national security, ICT development, spectrum management, digital transformation, Cyber Security, and policy creation. General Hafeez attended National Defence University (NDU) in Islamabad, where he earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Telecommunications and a Master of Science in War Studies.
He has extensive experience in senior leadership roles including the strategic development and implementation of ICTs. He is well-versed in the design and implementation of cutting-edge telecom infrastructures, including fiberization, RoW management, and the planning, building, and operation of data centres. He also has extensive experience in senior UN positions in UN member states.

He serves on the boards of PTA, PEMRA, FAB, USFco, and IGNITE (National Technology Fund) in addition to PTA. General Hafeez has been awarded the prestigious ‘Hilal-e-Imtiaz Military’ medal for his exemplary service to the country.
