iQOO will launch the iQOO 9 series devices – iQOO 9 and iQOO 9 Pro on January 5th in the domestic market. Just yesterday, the iQOO 9 Pro was spotted on the Geekbench benchmark database. Now, a week before the official launch, we have now spotted the vanilla iQOO 9 with model number V2171A on the Geekbench benchmark database. The listing confirms that the vanilla iQOO 9 will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, similar to its elder sibling – iQOO 9 Pro. The upcoming iQOO 9 visited the Geekbench database with model number V2171A. The device scored 1233 points in the single-core round of the Geekbench 5 test. Whereas, in the multi-core test, it scored 3674 points. The iQOO 9 will also be equipped with 12GB of RAM, confirms the Geekbench listing. It also confirms that the device will boot Android 12 out of the box.
The database listing also confirms the presence of an SoC with codename taro and 1 + 3 + 4 core configuration and up to 3.0GHz frequency. This confirms that the iQOO 9 will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. The system on chip comes with an integrated Adreno 730 GPU that takes care of the graphics-related tasks. Qualcomm’s flagship offering – Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is built on Samsung’s 4nm fabrication process and makes use of X2 prime cores.
Just yesterday, the upcoming iQOO 9 Pro was spotted on Geekbench and 3C certification websites. The Pro variant will also come with similar specifications including the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, 12GB of RAM, and Android 12. The iQOO 9 Pro is now also confirmed to support 120W fast charging, thanks to the 3C certification listing.
