For its future EV model (electric vehicle), Xiaomi Corp.’s automotive division has submitted a new patent application.
The Xiaomi Car will use a revolutionary Power Battery technology that the company has patented.
For those who don’t know, the Chinese tech giant has long been said to be developing its own electric vehicle (EV).
The corporation then confirmed these reports and even established a unit specifically for cars.
According to reports, this department had a team of more than 500 people working on research and development, and it was looking to introduce its first model in the first half of 2024.
But before any formal release, a new patent for the power battery that may run the Xiaomi Car was discovered.
The company is developing a Power Battery that has numerous rows of cells, numerous liquid cooling plates, liquid inlet components, and liquid output components, according to the official documentation for the patent.
Additionally, liquid cooling plates are attached to both sides of each row of cells.
All of these battery pack components, such as the liquid cooling plates, may simply indicate that the manufacturer is working on a solution to increase the lifespan of EV batteries and their overall safety performance.
Additionally, we may anticipate that the company’s forthcoming EV vehicle will utilize this battery technology.
However, as of now, this is merely speculative, and Xiaomi may simply be covering all of its bases with this patent. So, for the time being, treat this report with caution.
