The New York Times and the toy company Hasbro are working together to produce a tangible version of Wordle. The viral word game that swept the globe late last year served as the inspiration for the future board game.
Players will have six chances to correctly guess a five-letter word in Wordle: The Party Game. A player scores fewer points the faster they can guess the term. The winner of the game is the person who finished with the fewest points.
There are four main game modes: traditional, quick, timed, and team play. Simply wipe the dry-erase boards clean after each round to restart.
Josh Wardle developed Wordle, which became live in October 2021. It spread swiftly online and produced a number of copies in the process.
The New York Times became interested in the game and decided to include it in their library of unique puzzle games. Wardle ultimately sold it to the journal for a low-seven-figure price.
The Times would try to monetize its new intellectual property was pretty much a given, and that is exactly what we are witnessing with the new board game.
Wordle: The Party Game may be pre-ordered for $19.99 from a few shops, such as Amazon and Target.
It should arrive in early October, giving you plenty of time to profit from the lucrative holiday shopping season.
