The Pakistani women’s football team will kick off their 2024 Paris Olympics Asian Qualifiers campaign on Wednesday (today) at the Hisor Central Stadium in Tajikistan, taking on the tough Philippines in Group E action.
As another team training for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023, the Philippines is likewise favoured to advance. Pakistan’s team, whose captain is based in Dubai, recently attended a training camp in the United Arab Emirates, where they played a few exhibition matches before heading to Tajikistan.
Pakistan’s group also includes Hong Kong and the hosts, Tajikistan. On Wednesday, they’ll meet again (today).
Squad for women’s football team
Alia Sadiq, Anmool Hira, Isra Khan, Naqiyah Ali, Sanober Abdul Sattar, and Zahmena Malik will contribute as forwards.
Aliza Sabir, Amina Hanif, Anushey Usman, Maria Khan, Marvi Baig, Rameen Fareed, and Suha Hirani will play as midfielders.
Malika-e-Noor, Mishal Bhatti, Nizalia Siddiqui, Sahiba Sherdil, Sara Khan, and Sophiya Qureshi are defenders.
Fatima Naz, Nisha Ashraf, and Rumaysa Khan are goal keepers.
