WhatsApp, a popular messaging software, was offline for multiple users throughout the world, according to outage tracking website Downdetector.
When users tried to log in to the App or WhatsApp web (the browser version), they received an error message.
“WhatsApp is currently experiencing an issue with their servers,” WABetaInfo said on X.
Downdetector, a renowned service that monitors web outages, reported an increase in customers attempting to use WhatsApp but encountering a difficulty.
Downdetector monitors outages by collecting status reports from various sources, including user-submitted faults on its site.

Meanwhile, over 30,000 customers in India, 67,000 in the United Kingdom, and 95,000 in Brazil reported issues with the platform.
