WhatsApp has been testing the disappearing messages feature for a while now. Finally, the feature is ready to be rolled out and will be reaching the masses this month.
It will allow WhatsApp users to enable disappearing messages on chat conversations between friends and family.
Anyone can enable the option in individual chats, and group admins will be able to hide disappearing messages in group chats.
When the disappearing messages feature has turned on, new messages sent to a chat will disappear after seven days, helping the conversation feel lighter and more private referring to the upcoming WhatsApp feature, a WhatsApp spokesperson said,
The disappearing messaging will also clean out photos and videos along with text messages.
However, even though the messages will disappear for both parties, Before the seven days, if you will be taking a screenshot possible to save your chat.
On WhatsApp, you will need to enable disappearing messages on a per-group or contact basis.
Once the feature has rolled out completely, it will be available as a new option in the contact section of each friend in WhatsApp. After the feature rolls out, it will be available as a new option in each contact’s setting option in the app.
You cannot enable it for all chats. It needs to be activated for every conversation manually. Moreover, the setting will not wipe out older messages.
