Pakistan Freelancers Association (PAFLA) is a non-profit organization founded to empower Pakistani freelancers through mentoring, providing opportunities, collaborating with government, industry, and academia, and providing them with a platform as well as a support group to help grow their careers and overcome their challenges
PAFLA gives their members a powerful voice through policy advocacy, benefits, and community. Membership is free and open to freelancers of all kinds, from graphic designers and contractors to entrepreneurs and moonlighters.
Talking with TechX Pakistan, Vice President PAFLA, Mr. Fahad Sheikh talked about the PAFLA journey and how it came into existence, and what are its functions. He stated, “It’s almost 4 years journey we’ve been achieved so far. We have started PAFLA in 2018 by talking with different institutions which were helpful for the creation of this organization. I was already a part of that ecosystem so I already knew what were the real problems our freelancers facing.”
Moreover, he also said, “It was a long and troublesome 4 years journey that we have travelled so far, either it is registration of PAFLA or achievements we got so far. This is our second event in Karachi and InshaAllah we will also organize these types of events in different cities of Pakistan soon.”
