The United Arab Emirates was named one of the world’s most trusted and united countries in the 2023 Edelman Trust Barometer, an annual trust and credibility survey.
UAE; a trusted country
The study surveyed over 30,000 people in 28 countries about their trust in government, businesses, non-governmental organizations, and the media.
Despite the fact that global issues have caused divisions, the UAE has maintained high levels of trust across all four institutions.
According to the report, the UAE is the world’s third most trusted country, with the government emerging as the most trusted institution with an 86% rating, followed by businesses with a 78% rating.
According to the report, the public’s trust in the competence and ethics of the government, businesses, and NGOs has resulted in high levels of trust.
Similarly, the UAE leads in economic optimism, with 72% of people expecting to benefit financially over the next five years.
In contrast, only 40% of respondents worldwide believe this. Many other nations have seen division and societal collapse as a result of systematic inequality, a lack of common identity, and diminished social cohesion.
The survey, which took place from November 1 to November 28, last year, included 30-minute interviews with participants.
