Niagara Launcher has always been an alternative to the conventional launchers available out there for Android. The launcher was developed by XDA Recognized Developer Maxr1998 and XDA Member 8bitpit.
The latest beta release of Niagara Launcher hints towards a few things, including Material You’s dynamic theming and rounded widgets alongside better support for the latest Android 12. But yes, the dynamic theming surely stands out.
Niagra Launcher: What’s new
The dynamic theming, currently available only on Google Pixel phones running Android 12 is now available via Niagara Launcher, on any device running Android 5.0 Lollipop and above. At least that’s what the developers say and if you want to verify the claim, maybe you should try the latest beta APK.

According to XDA Developers, Niagara Launcher relies on the Palette API to grab the prominent color from the current wallpaper and match it alongside a set of pre-defined colors. However, there is no support for native stylized icons.

The latest version of the app also makes sure that it can grab approximate location within 2 kilometers on a device running Android 12, to display weather information. To bring the looks and feel of Material You, widgets have been updated as well with rounded corners.

These are some of the new changes that Niagara Launcher brings and the stable update for the same may arrive within the next two weeks. However, anyone can download and sideload the beta APK to try everything out before it reaches everyone.
The biggest highlight of the launcher was that it let users vertically scroll through the apps list so that it is easier to use the phone using one hand. Back in September itself, Niagara Launcher started offering support for foldable devices and now it looks like the developers are making the next big leap, as it is probably the first third-party launcher that brings the Material You theming to any device.
