It’s no secret that Redmi has begun development on the next generation of high-end K series phones, dubbed the Redmi K60 lineup. So far, leaks and certifications have revealed that the series will include three models: the Redmi K60, K60 Pro, and K60E.
Digital Chat Station, a popular tipster, posted images of the Redmi K60’s retail box online (DCS). This indicates that the company has begun stocking units and mass production, indicating that it is ready to launch soon. The box looks very similar to the Redmi K50 series.
It was supposed to be released by the end of the year, but because Xiaomi had to delay its 13 series, the K60 family was also delayed until January 2023.
Xiaomiui, a Xiaomi-focused tech blog, discovered internal MIUI builds of the Redmi K60 series. According to these, the both models will launch with MIUI 14, while the K60E will remain on MIUI 13. MIUI 14 will be released this month alongside the Xiaomi 13 series.
Leaked of Specs
According to rumors, this model will be powered by a Snapdragon 870 or a Dimensity-8200 processor. The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipsets are expected to power the K60 and K60 Pro, respectively.
The vanilla K-60 is said to have a 6.67-inch 120Hz AMOLED screen as well as a 5,500 mAh battery with 67W wired charging support. Its primary camera should be a 64MP Sony IMX686 sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) for stable photos and videos.
