The Redmi Note 12 series became official in China last month, but it is currently only available in China. However, the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ appeared on the FCC database earlier this month, indicating a global launch.
Now, Mukul Sharma, a tipster, has reported that the global launch could happen soon.
According to Sharma, Xiaomi has begun serial production of the Redmi Note 12 series in several Asian and European regions.
This means that the lineup will be available globally in December or early next year. Some of these devices may be released in the global market under different names. In India, for example, the Chinese Redmi Note 12 Pro+ could be known as the Xiaomi 12i HyperCharge.

Other changes to the global models can also be expected. As is customary, the Dimensity 1080 chip may be replaced with a Snapdragon equivalent.
The base in China already has a Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 SoC, which may be retained in the international variant, but no confirmation has been provided.
Most other specifications, such as their 6.67-inch AMOLED displays with high refresh rates and 1 billion colours, are likely to remain unchanged.
The same will have 48MP and 50MP cameras, respectively, with the Pro+ model possibly going up to 200MP.
The Note 12 Explorer Edition is known for its record-breaking fast charging speeds of 210W, but it is unknown whether this model will be available in the global market.
However, there has been no official word from Xiaomi on any launch dates, so take this information with a grain of salt.
