Tesla has begun deliveries of the new Model S and Model X in China, though both vehicles are slated to arrive in the second quarter, according to the company’s China website.

Tesla announced today on Weibo that deliveries of the new Model S and Model X have commenced on the Chinese mainland, nine years after the first Tesla vehicle entered the nation in 2014.
Tesla did not disclose any other information on Weibo, although its China website indicates that both versions will be available in the second quarter.
A video posted by Tesla on Weibo shows a big number of the new Model S and Model X vehicles being sent to China.

The costs of the new Model S and Model X disclosed, which are not manufactured in China, on January 6, at the same time as it dramatically slashed the prices of the Model 3 and Model Y.
In China, the Model S is available in two configurations: standard with dual motors and all-wheel drive, and Plaid with tri motors and all-wheel drive.
The Model S costs RMB 789,900 ($114,790), while the Model S Plaid costs RMB 1,009,900 ($146,679).
The Model X is also offered in China in two configurations: standard with dual-motor all-wheel drive and Plaid with tri-motor all-wheel drive.
Six imported pure electric vehicles were driven out of containers at Shanghai Yangshan Port’s Nangang Terminal on February 28 and inspected on-site by customs inspectors, according to a prior report by Shanghai Securities News.
Tianjin Port Group said on March 15 that the newest batch of 867 new Model S and Model X automobiles had arrived in Tianjin.
