Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi has been appointed as the interim Chair of the Men’s National Selection Committee for the home series against New Zealand by the PCB Management Committee.
The panel will also include Abdul Razzaq and Rao Iftikhar Anjum, with Haroon Rashid (member of the Management Committee) serving as Convener.

So, in our collective opinion, there is no better person than him to understand the rigors, demands and challenges of the modern-day game.”

From 1996 to 2018, Shahid Afridi appeared in 27 Tests, 398 ODIs, and 99 T20Is, scoring 11,196 runs and taking 541 wickets.
In addition, he captained the national team in 83 international matches. He was a member of Pakistan’s team that won the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup at Lord’s in 2009.
Abdul Razzaq played 343 international matches between 1996 and 2013, scoring 7,419 runs and taking 389 wickets. He was also a member of the team that won the T20 World Cup at Lord’s in 2009.
