In addition to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 series, the company has unveiled the Redmi Buds 5 TWS headphones, which now include multiple flagship-level capabilities and are a major advance over their predecessors.
RedmiBuds 5 with New Features
The new Redmi Buds 5 have an outstanding 46 dB noise reduction capacity, which is also configurable. Users can choose between three separate noise-canceling modes and three transparency settings, based on their preferences and the requirement to be aware of external sounds.
AI-powered Algorithm
Furthermore, the noise reduction feature applies to phone calls. Xiaomi claims the inclusion of a new AI-powered algorithm that improves the function of the two noise-canceling microphones, resulting in better call quality and noise reduction.
The Redmi Buds 5 also provide an improved audio experience, thanks to a long precision-wound coil and 12.4mm drivers with titanium-coated diaphragms.
When the charging case is included, these earphones give up to 40 hours of continuous playback.
Furthermore, a rapid-charging mechanism means that only five minutes of charging provides you with two hours of listening time.
Xiaomi’s Collaborations
The Redmi Buds 5 also has a new, more ergonomic form factor. Xiaomi has also teamed with the clothing brand AAPE to release a limited edition of the Buds 5, which is differentiated by its camouflage paint job.
While the original announcement is aimed at the Chinese market, we expect these earphones to become accessible internationally in the future. The ordinary edition is inexpensively priced at $27, while the AAPE edition costs $40.
