Redmi’s teaser campaign for its new Note 13 series continues, and the latest material mentions the Pro+ model once more.
Redmi’s New Note 13 Series
The Chinese manufacturer has verified that the Note 13 Pro+ would be water and dust resistant to IP68 standards.
As a result of this advancement, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ is the first phone in the Note series to have an IP rating.
According to Tipster Digital Chat Station, Redmi made this feasible by adding an extra aperture at the top of the phone that works as a pressure release valve.
Redmi’s General Manager, Lu Weibing, recently written an extensive post clarifying the three critical advancements implemented to get the IP68 classification for the Redmi Note 13 Pro+.
These enhancements include:
1. Structural Reinforcement: The phone has 19 bespoke structural features, including a multi-layer screen protector, a double-layer back cover, and precisely sealed components such as the SIM card holder and ejector holes.
2. Internal Strength: It features a high-strength aluminium alloy frame, strengthened corners, and a thicker motherboard, as well as the robustness of Corning Gorilla Victus Glass and reinforced essential structures. Its resilience to drops is further enhanced by stainless steel and polymer buffer adhesive.
3. Extensive Testing: The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ has undergone an additional 10 airtightness tests, including Type-C boards, earpieces/speakers, and frame components. This stringent testing process ensures complete compliance with the stringent IP68 standard.
