In an unprecedented move, Pakistan Post has decided to expand its operations by establishing 100,000 Digital Franchises Post Offices (DFPOs) across the country, according to Federal Minister for Communications Murad Saeed.
This revelation was made by the Minister while speaking at the launch ceremony of the Electronic Money Order (EMO) Service on Tuesday.
Murad stated during his speech that the EMO Service, which was launched under the Digital Franchises Post Offices (DFPO), will revolutionize the e-commerce and cash-on-delivery industries. Previously, Prime minister Imran Khan also praised Murad Saeed for his hardship and new projects.
It will provide a quick, secure, simple, and cost-effective way for e-commerce and cash-on-delivery businesses to send and receive money. It will also assist Pakistan Post in gaining a significant share of the money transfer market.
He recalled that Pakistan Post’s services had significantly improved since 2018. The organization has risen from 94th to 62nd place in the Universal Postal Union’s International Postal Services rankings.
The PTI government has also turned Pakistan Post into a profitable entity after more than a decade. The transformation was made possible by the introduction of a wide range of services.
