According to data issued by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority, the number of 3G and 4G subscribers in Pakistan increased by one million to 107.68 million by the end of December 2021, up from 106.68 million a month earlier.
By the end of December 2021, the number of cellular subscribers in Pakistan had climbed by 0.71 million to 188.71 million, up from 188 million at the end of November 2021.
By the end of November 2021, cellular mobile teledensity has risen to 85.94 percent from 85.65 percent. During this time, total teledensity climbed from 86.79 percent to 87.08 percent.
By the end of December 2021, monthly Next Generation Mobile Service (NGMS) penetration has risen to 49.04 percent, up from 48.6 percent at the end of November 2021.
The overall number of 3G customers on Jazz was 6.89 million in December 2021, down from 6.915 million the previous month, a decline of 0.025 million. During this time, however, the number of Jazz 4G users increased from 34.527 million to 34.750 million.
By the end of December 2021, the number of Zong 3G customers had dropped from 3.758 million to 3.650 million. By the end of December, the number of 4G customers had increased from 25.950 million to 26.389 million.
Telenor’s 3G subscribers fell from 4.217 million at the end of November to 4.090 million at the end of December 2021. By the end of December, the number of 4G customers had increased from 19.444 million to 19.824 million.
By the end of December, the number of Ufone 3G users had dropped from 3.960 million to 3.871 million. Ufone’s 4G subscriber base grew from 6.722 million at the end of November to 7.112 million at the end of December.
