The iQOO Neo 7, the most recent flagship model of Vivo, is unquestionably one of the most reasonably priced high-end smartphones of 2022.
It has impressive specifications, including MediaTek’s Dimenisty 9000+ and others. It is unfortunate that the iQOO series is only offered in a few places worldwide.
Design and Display
The design of the iQOO Neo 7 is quite intriguing. Its primary camera island is a sizable square shape, but inside is a circular module with two lenses placed next to one another.
The “periscope” lens resting on the separate section should not be taken advantage of. Only a macro camera disguised to look like a zoom lens is being used.
The display, a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with 1080p resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 360Hz touch sampling rate, is curved, just like the rear panel. The display’s maximum brightness is 1500 nits, and HDR10+ content is supported.
Internals and Software
Thanks to MediaTek’s excellent Dimensity 9000+ SoC, a slightly overclocked variant of the flagship-grade D9000, the internal hardware is extremely amazing.
Maximum RAM capacity is 12 GB, and storage space can be up to 512 GB. Although there isn’t a memory card port for expansion, you won’t likely need one with up to 512GB of onboard storage.
Apart from the Pixel 7, it is one of the few smartphones that can launch Android 13 out of the box, Google’s most recent operating system. This rests on top of Vivo’s very own OriginOS Ocean.
Cameras
A 50MP Sony IMX766V sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro lens make up the primary camera system.
Both 1080p and 4K videos can be captured at 60 frames per second. A list of AI features is also provided.
The 16MP selfie camera that is housed inside the punch-hole cutout can only produce 1080p movies.
Battery and Pricing
Fast charging is a feature that Vivo rarely withholds from its phones, especially from its premium models. Evidently, the iQOO Neo 7 has a 5,000 mAh battery and 120W super rapid charging. In just 9 minutes, the battery can reach 50% of its capacity.
In China, the Vivo iQOO Neo 7 will start at at $373 and come in Orange, Black, and Blue color variants. Outside of its own country, it is anticipated to cost more.
