The floodgates for electric two-wheelers in Pakistan have been opened by the skyrocketing vehicle, bike, scooter and fuel prices.
The C1 electric scooter was previously introduced by a Pakistani startup called Evee, which is situated in Lahore. Soon later, Super Star imitated the move and teased its own electric scooter. The E8S Pro, Metro’s electric scooter that competes with the C1 Pro, was released last month.
A second manufacturer of bicycles, New Asia, intends to introduce two new electric scooters in Pakistan, according to the most recent information from Horsepower Pakistan.
The scooters’ specifics are now unclear. However, the reporter made a hint that these electric mopeds would be powered by dry acid batteries and electric motors rated at 1000 to 1500 watts.
Both scooters will have differing performance ratings, with one geared toward budget-conscious buyers and the other toward enthusiasts with sufficient financial resources.
According to the article, depending on their characteristics, the scooters will cost between Rs. 260,000 and Rs. 320,000, but still it is unclear that what will be the final price of these scooters. The introduction of these scooters might make the new electric mopeds more competitive.
