The footage of Nepal’s exciting triumph over Afghanistan in the ICC Under-19 World Cup 2024 at East London’s Buffalo Park has gone popular on social media.

Afghanistan were dismissed for 145 after deciding to bat first. Allah Mohammad Ghazanfar led the scoring with a 21-ball 37 that included four boundaries and three maximums.
Captain Naseer Khan Marooffkhil scored 31 runs off 38 balls, including three boundaries. Aakash Chand was Nepal’s best bowler, recording 5-34 in eight overs.
Nepal’s skipper, Dev Khanal, was the lone hitter who stood up to the Afghanistan bowlers, who had the opposition on the ropes during the run chase.
He scored an important half-century. He scored 58 from 89 balls, including seven fours. Faridoon Dawoodzai grabbed three wickets, while Khalil Ahmed and Naseer Khan Maroofkhil took three each.
