Due to its unusual specifications, Fiat’s upcoming mini-electric vehicle (EV) has taken the internet by storm.
Fiat’s upcoming EV
The ‘Topolino’ EV will compete with the Chery QQ EV, Wuling Mini EV, and Citroen Ami. It will initially be sold only in Italy for $10,739 (Rs. 2.97 million).
The EV will have a 5.5 kWh battery, a range of 75 kilometers, and a charging time of four hours. The Topolino, according to Stellantis, will include a “little shower” “designed for days spent on the beach along the Italian coast.”
However, strange features such as USB fans, Bluetooth speakers, warm water bottles, and a beach towel seat cover add to the oddness.
Stellantis stated that Topolino will be available in two variations: a closed version and an open version with rope doors. The vehicle will only be available in one color, interior, and wheel design.
The top speed of this Citroen Ami-inspired EV is only 45 km/h. Fiat refers to the EV as a “quadricycle,” which may be due to its limited performance. Even in Italy, the Fiat Topolino will only appeal to a small niche of novelty product buyers for what it is.
