Iran is planning a presidential election on June 28. This decision was made at an emergency meeting chaired by short-term President Mohammad Mokhber.
The conference was called followed President Ebrahim Raisi‘s unfortunate death in a helicopter crash.
Those vying for president can register from May 30 to June 3. The election season will run from June 12 to June 27, providing candidates chances to promote their ideas to the public.
Country’s Operations
Acting President Mohammad Mokhber, who was chosen on Monday, will head a council tasked with managing the country’s operations during this interim time.
The council’s principal responsibility is to make sure that the election is organised and carried out smoothly within the following 50 days.
Mokhber’s Supervision
Mokhber’s supervision at this vital period is essential as Iran prepares for a new presidential term following the tragic and unexpected death of its existing president.
The council will work tirelessly to maintain peace and ensure the voting process is honest and open, allowing the Iranian people to decide their new leader.
