Apple is going to introduce value-added capabilities to the next iOS 17 that will make the iPhone more functional even when it is idle on the nightstand. A function that can convert older Android phones into car dashcams was reportedly being tested by Google earlier this month.
Known for his extraordinary accuracy in predicting Apple hardware and software, an international expert has speculated that iOS 17 may transform the iPhone into a sleek nightstand. The lock screen will receive new customization options in iOS 17, including a variety of attractively designed widgets for the time, date, and weather.
Locking your iPhone and setting it horizontally on a nightstand or wireless charger stand will make the text larger and the background darker. However, only iPhones that support Always-on-Display are likely to have access to this feature.
New iOS feature is more practical
This feature is essential for tablets with large displays and hope to see it implemented in future versions of the iPad. Apple might compete with the Amazon Echo Show and the most recent Pixel Tablet by releasing a wireless charging stand for iPads. The second option is more practical because you can use it anywhere, as Google sells a charging dock that doubles as a speaker.
Unlike the HomePod, which requires a permanent placement and attached power source at all times, the Pixel Tablet-like docking station for iPads is portable and can be used anywhere, making it a wonderful accessory for owners of smart devices.
At the next World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2023, Apple will present new macOS, tvOS, and watchOS 10, in addition to new hardware, including iOS 17 and iPadOS 17.
