IMC has announced an increase in prices for Toyota vehicles this year, making this the second time they have done so far.
The corporation attributed the decline to the Pakistani rupee’s decline against the US dollar. The notice further stated, “the economic uncertainties and extremely volatile situation of PKR against USD have adversely impacted the cost of manufacturing for IMC. Thus, this situation has made it extremely difficult for IMC to hold the current retail selling prices, and therefore, we are compelled to pass on some impact to the market.”
Although the increase in Toyota car pricing is unexpected, the country’s dire economic situation may lead to future increases of this nature.
