The Times Higher Education Impact Ranking, UK, has ranked ILMA University as the number one university in Sindh and the third best private sector university in Pakistan for the year 2022.
The accomplishment is attributed to the university’s Chancellor, Noman Abid Lakhani (TI), as well as its high teaching standards and focused strategies in support of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN-SDGs).
It is worth noting that one-fourth of Pakistan’s educational institutions have qualified for international rankings by the Times Higher Education Impact Ranking for 2022, placing them among more than 1,600 universities from 99 countries.
In a recent interview with the university, Phil Baty, the Chief Knowledge Officer of the Times Higher Education, praised the performance of Pakistani universities over the last three years.
He also praised their achievements and contributions in teaching, research, student engagement, community development, international representation, and global partnerships, while expressing his optimism for the future.
The Noman Group of Companies and Global Educational Consultants (GEC) Society, among others, are working with ILMA University’s top-tier faculty, alumni, students, and patrons to produce future leaders through a knowledge-based economy with international standards.
Ilma University was founded in 2001 with the establishment of the BIZTEK Institute of Business and Technology. With the Sindh Assembly Charter, it later became IBT, the Institute of Business and Technology. It was listed with the Higher Education Committee (HIC) in 2012, and it was granted university status in 2017 and became Ilma University.
