What are Extensions
Extensions are supplemental software that can be downloaded and installed on a web browser to enhance its functionality. They are mainly made by independent programmers and are written in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
You can add, remove, and change them as needed using this Google Chrome functionality. Chrome extensions can be added to the browser through either external download or installation through the Chrome Web Store.
All conceivable functions can be extended. Everything from safe password storage to ad-free browsing.
To install extensions on the Google Chrome browser, follow these instructions:
- Put in a program or a plug-in.
- Cast Chrome’s online store into action. Select Extensions or Apps from the list on the left.
Look around or conduct a search for the plug-in you’re after. - Select Add to Chrome after locating the extension or programme you wish to install.
- Check what information the extension will have access to before installing it. Then click the “Add extension” button.
- Your apps will appear in the launcher, and Chrome’s extensions will appear as buttons in the browser’s toolbar.
To remove an add-on from your Google Chrome browser, do as follows:
- Launch Chrome.
- To access the Extensions menu, click More followed by More Tools.
- To uninstall an add-on, click the Remove button next to it.
- Choose the Delete option to confirm.
- Right-click the extension’s button in the browser’s toolbar, and then select Remove from Chrome to uninstall it.
