Hafiz Muhammad Waleed Malik, an MBBS graduate from Ameer Uddin Medical College Lahore, sets a new academic record with 29 gold medals.
Prior to that, a female from King Edwards Medical College held the record with 23 gold medals.
Dr. Hafiz recently received a Rs200,000 check from Health Minister Abdul Qadir Patel.
In a recent ceremony, the health minister stated that doctors like Hafiz Muhammad Waleed are a national asset who should be encouraged.
Obtaining more than 85% marks, the highest numbers, or the top position in each semester are the criteria for receiving a gold medal.
Talking to private news channel, Waleed said: “In starting I was struggling but then gradually I got succeeded after hard work.”
Notably, Dr Waleed went viral on social media after netizens chastised Pakistani media for failing to promote the country’s true talent.
Dr Waleed recieved 29 Gold Medals in 5 years BarakAllah. Appreciate people who deserve acknowledgment rather than inviting Dancers on TV shows !
