The Gilgit-Baltistan Departmental Development Working Party gave the green light to a plan that would improve classroom infrastructure in flood-affected regions.
The Gilgit-Baltistan Departmental Development Working Party (GB-DDWP) is proud to announce the acceptance of a novel plan to improve the physical and technological resources available to schools in the province’s flood-ravaged regions.
In a recent meeting, the GB-DDWP and the IT and WD departments agreed that a learning management system should be implemented in 55 schools in order to improve the quality of education in the region, as reported in a news release published on Friday.
55 prefabricated classrooms and restrooms are part of the project’s permitted scope. Due to the short timeline we have to complete the planned project, we have opted for this unconventional strategy.
Utilising prefabricated buildings speeds up the project implementation process, giving schools faster access to necessary facilities.
Students will benefit greatly from having access to digital instructional resources and materials thanks to the implementation of a learning management system in these institutions.
This technologically-driven effort is meant to fill the void left by the recent floods, giving impacted students a chance to continue their education without interruption.
After much consideration and conversation, the GB-DDWP acknowledged the critical nature of the project and gave its unanimous approval.
GB government is working hard for youth
This move exemplifies the dedication of regional authorities and stakeholders to investing in Gilgit-Baltistan’s youth and fostering their potential. “We are deeply committed to providing quality education to every child in Gilgit-Baltistan, regardless of the challenges we face,” said Chief Secretary Gilgit-Baltistan Mohyuddin Ahmed Wani.
Even in the wake of devastating natural events, we are committed to improving educational opportunities for kids, as evidenced by our plan.
To ensure the project is carried out effectively and on schedule, the GB-DDWP will collaborate closely with the relevant agencies and interested parties. The government has publicly thanked the many groups and people who have contributed to this worthy cause through funding.
The programme is a symbol of the region’s commitment to rise above adversity and forge a better future for its young. Increasing spending on education is a huge step in the right direction for Gilgit-Baltistan and its people.
