Samsung made a huge display enhancement by introducing a 3.4-inch cover screen on last year’s Galaxy Z Flip 5, which is a significant leap over the modest 1.9-inch panels on the Z Flip 4 and Flip 3.
According to @TheGalox_, a reliable X tipster, this year’s Galaxy Z Flip 6 will take this innovation even further with a larger 3.9-inch outside screen. He says that Corning’s Gorilla Glass Armour will safeguard the screen.
The main screen is believed to remain 6.7 inches, as it was last year, but Samsung is reportedly improving the hinge and interior architecture, including a larger cooling system.
Speaking of which, the Galaxy S24 Ultra has a significantly larger cooling system than previously.
Technology specifications are rumoured to include Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which is a no-brainer given that Samsung always equips its foldables with premium technology.
This will be combined with 12 GB of RAM, an increase from the standard 8 GB in Samsung’s flip foldables.
Samsung’s AI functions, which were debuted with the Galaxy S24, will be carried over to the Galaxy Z Flip 6, as will 7 years of OS and security upgrades, just like the Galaxy S24.
The two main camera sensors on the back will include a 50MP primary shooter and a 12MP ultrawide lens.
Rumours say that the Flip 6 will have a 4,000 mAh battery, a significant boost over the Flip 5’s 3,700 mAh cell.
Samsung is expected to reveal the Flip 6 at Galaxy Unpacked in July, along with the Fold 6 and Galaxy Ring.
