The PTI leadership was “engaged in instigating party activists to approach D-Chowk in the federal capital on May 25,” according to law enforcement agencies.
On June 1, the Supreme Court demanded reports from the director-general of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), the Intelligence Bureau (IB), the Inspector General of Islamabad, the interior secretary, and others regarding PTI leaders’ alleged involvement in inciting party workers to reach Islamabad’s D-Chowk in violation of the court’s May 25 order.
All agencies, it has been learned, have written their own reports, which will be presented to the court on Wednesday.
According to reports, PTI Chairman Imran Khan was notified about the May 25 order before making his remark, in which he ordered party activists to gather at D-Chowk.
The files also include testimonies from various PTI leaders in order to determine how they prompted activists to gather at D-Chowk on May 25.
According to the allegations, PTI activists burned 315 trees in Blue Area, injuring more than three dozen persons, only one of whom was a woman.
It was also found that one of the reports claimed that during Imran’s speech, he warned state officials of dire consequences if they obstructed the demonstrators.
