Mishal Mohammed A. Al-Ansari, Qatar Consul General, visited the Karachi Port Trust (KPT) Football Stadium and agreed that the stadium is suitable for screening all FIFA World Cup matches.
Football fans in the city will be able to watch live matches on a large screen.
The mega football event will take place in various cities throughout Qatar from November 20 to December 18.
Qatar is set to become the first Arab country to host the FIFA World Cup in November-December of this year.
The Consul General toured the cutting-edge football stadium and met with some of the players. He was informed about Pakistan’s football talent and the players’ desire to represent the country in an international competition.
Meanwhile, KPT’s management announced that the World Cup 2022 will be shown on the stadium’s big screen throughout the event. For the mega event, special stadiums have been built.
Two months ago, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited ‘Stadium 974’ in Qatar’s capital as Doha set to host the extravaganza for the very first time.
A tour was given to him and briefed on the extensive preparations made by the Qatari government to host the mega event.
