The government has issued an emergency instruction to suspend mobile phone service in 11 regions throughout the country. Despite PTA directives to continue providing internet services, Govt. suspended internet services in Pakistan.
Gujarat, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin, Sargodha, Khushab, and Mianwali are among these districts. Sialkot, Jhelum Rawalpindi, Dera Ghazi Khan, and Bhakkar are among the cities.
As a result, mobile phone services will be unavailable till evening. Previously, PTA stated that they had received no official direction from the government to cease mobile services in various sections of the nation.
It is important to note that the government is taking various steps to halt Imran Khan’s PTI’s lengthy march to the federal capital.
The guidelines for building an emergency response mechanism are as follows:
The resources required for the smooth operation of voice/data and networks should be accessible at all levels.
Any serious communications failure must be immediately notified to PTA headquarters and the relevant zonal/regional offices in the jurisdiction where the breakdown occurred.
All Cellular Mobile Operators (CMOS) and Local Loop operators must guarantee that their services are available to clients (top ups, scratch cards, provision of SIMs etc).
Coordination with local governments for the operation of franchises, top-up outlets, and communication networks in the impacted region.
