The Centaurus Mall was sealed by the Capital Development Authority (CDA) during a nighttime raid.
After a heated confrontation between Shehbaz Sharif, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, and Sardar Tanveer Ilyas, the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir, during the latter’s visit to Mangla, the situation changed.
PM Shehbaz Sharif did not give the AJK PM time to speak during his speech.
The Centaurus Mall was reportedly attacked by a CDA team and local police, who then forced out the management and security staff before shutting the building.
The CDA claims that the mall has been sealed off because of “illegal use.”
The Centaurus Shopping Mall, which caught fire earlier in October for unknown reasons, is owned by AJK PM Sardar Tanveer Ilyas. AJK PM spokesman blamed the federal government for the incident.
The Centaurus Mall fire was purposefully started, according to Raja Usman, the AJK PM’s spokesperson, since the federal government was committing political victimization in light of the current political atmosphere.
He accused Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah of starting the Islamabad shopping mall fire in order to make it worse than the Model Town fire.
