The Capital Development Authority (CDA) recently held a special meeting to discuss the development of the CDA Capital Medical College in Islamabad, which was authorised. The estate office and planning wing have been instructed to locate suitable land for the college.
The allocation of land for the construction of a fire station and a dispensary in the Kahuta Triangle Industrial Area was another key decision made at the meeting. It was disclosed that the costs for these facilities, which will be constructed on the authority land, would be covered by the local chamber of commerce and industry association. The meeting also emphasised the requirement for filtration plant installation at key business hubs.
CDA is having multiple projects
The CDA will be in charge of building these plants, while the business community will be in charge of maintaining them. The Federal Board of Revenue Academy’s land acquisition also received permission during the meeting.
The board resolved to create a committee to efficiently handle issues relating to homes and businesses in the Rawalpindi and Islamabad zones.
The group will also include members from the Cantonment Boards, CDA, and the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA).
