After wall-chalking is removed and plastic bag use is outlawed, according to Mayor of Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab, the city would become “clean and green.” This will be accomplished by enforcing regulations strictly.
On Tuesday, he made this statement while presiding over a gathering of departmental heads at the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) headquarters. In order to offer services and other facilities, he stated, a single window operation would be launched.
Salman Abdullah Murad, the city’s deputy mayor, expressed gratitude to Karachi’s residents for their support of the new administration on this occasion.
The fate of Karachi will change
While clearing drains is currently the biggest difficulty, he stated that stabilising KMC’s finances is his main concern. As a result, he argued that preparations should be made for the monsoon season’s rains. In the following hundred days, the populace will observe a change.
Earlier, KMC officers and other staff members greeted Wahab and showered him with rose petals upon his arrival at the headquarters. According to Barrister Wahab, maintaining the city’s roadways and installing street lights would be prioritised in order to improve the city’s fundamental infrastructure. He also said that KMC hospitals would be renovated to provide citizens with appropriate medical care.
The city’s mayor said that a number of projects will get underway as part of a public-private partnership for the city’s betterment, allowing the private sector to participate in the city’s building and development efforts.
