The Motorola Moto G200 5G received the Android 12 stable update a few days ago, and now it’s the Moto G50’s turn. The update provides new UI and functionality to the smartphone and comes with firmware version S1RF32.27-25.
However, the update is now only available in the UK for the model XT2137-1-DS. And we’re talking about the Snapdragon 480-powered version here, not the Moto G50 5G, which is powered by a Dimensity 700 SoC.
Even though the Snapdragon 480 model supports 5G, Motorola chose not to include the term “5G” in the phone’s title.
If you live in the UK and haven’t yet got an update notification on your Moto G50, you can manually check for it by heading to the Settings menu on your phone. If you’ve a Motorola smartphone, you can check to see if it’s eligible for the Android 12 update by going here.
You can either wait for the automatic OTA rollout or download and flash the latest update using the Rescue tool. We don’t recommend modification unless you’re a power user.
A completely new Material You design, a revised notification panel, Privacy Dashboard, camera and mic indicators and toggles, and more are among the new features available. The update contains features like Fast flashlight, Flip to DND, and Quick capture as part of Motorola’s My UX experience, in addition to Android 12-specific modifications.
