The Chinese corporations are racing one other at breakneck speed. More than five companies have already surpassed the 100W fast charging threshold.
Motorola, which is owned by Lenovo, is poised to enter the fray, as the brand has just teased a gigantic fast-charging brick on its official social media account.
Chen Jin, Lenovo’s General Manager, has posted a fresh teaser image on his personal Weibo page. A big 125W charger is shown in the photograph, along with the Motorola brand name and tagline.
He claims that this charger weighs only 130 grams, which is significantly less than the weight of existing 125W fast chargers.
Xiaomi’s fast-charging brick weights 195 grams, while Vivo’s adaptor weighs up to 210 grams. Other brands’ 120W chargers are also in the same ballpark.
As a result, Motorola’s new 125W charger is extremely outstanding, although this is not surprising. The brand is particularly adept of assembling fast chargers in a small compact, since their 68W adaptor weighs less than 100 grams.
However, we’re curious as to which Motorola phone this charger is intended for. The majority of speculations point to a future Motorola handset dubbed “Frontier,” which is rumored to include the world’s first 194MP camera.
There aren’t much specifics about the Motorola Frontier yet.
