After a brief suspension, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s Arabic Twitter handle was restored on Tuesday. The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) recently opened an Arabic-language Twitter account for Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif in an effort to reach a wider audience with the premier’s vital messages.
However, just hours after its establishment, the PMO’s Arabic-language Twitter account was suspended by the Twitter administration for breaking Twitter rules.
The government had opened PM Shahbaz Sharif’s official Twitter account a day before to deepen its relationship and connection with the brotherly people of Arab countries.
Earlier today, the official Arabic Twitter handle of the premiere was abruptly blocked by the microblogging website.
The prime minister’s Arabic Twitter handle was restored after a brief suspension.
“Prime Minister’s Arabic account @ShehbazAr is back online. Sorry for the inconvenience, and thank you for your thoughtfulness. For the most up-to-date information, you can follow.” the PM’s point man Abubakar Umer commented on Twitter, confirming the claim.
It occurred as a result of a verification error, according to Abubakar.
“Twitter needs an ID to complete its verification process. It will be provided shortly. Thanks for pointing it out,” he said in response to a query.
