OpenAI intends to make its AI tools more accessible to everyone, and first step is to make ChatGPT available without requiring an account. The AI chatbot has required an account since its introduction in November 2022.
However, with the latest change, OpenAI intends to draw even more users to the platform by removing the login requirement.
However, keep in mind that the option to use ChatGPT without an account will not be available to everyone right away, since OpenAI is progressively rolling out the functionality around the world, but it is definitely coming.
It’s worth noting that by default, OpenAI uses interactions with ChatGPT to improve its models for all users.
However, even if you don’t have an account, you can easily stop the chatbot’s ability to record your interactions through the Settings menu.
Creating an account will still provide certain benefits, such as the ability to keep all of your chats and review them later. Making an account allows you to unlock custom instructions and voice interactions.
OpenAI has announced the installation of “additional content safeguards,” including the barring of prompts and generations over a wider range of categories.
