Yamaha announced a 0% markup plan last month, under which customers could purchase a bike in instalments with no interest for four months. However, the service was only available in a few dealerships and on a limited number of bikes.
According to a recent update, the company has relaunched its 0% markup instalment facility, albeit only for certain cardholders. According to the company’s official social media post, the new offer is valid for 12 months and is only available to MCB credit cardholders.
The plan is applicable to all Yamaha motorcycles. Those interested in taking advantage of the offer should contact MCB for more information.
The timing is riveting
This offer appeared shortly after Pak Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) began teasing the new Suzuki GSX125.
The new GSX125 was unveiled by Pak Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) at the 2022 Pakistan Auto Show (PAS) to a warm reception.
Following the discontinuation of the GS150SE, market speculation suggested that the company might replace it with the GSX125. The Yamaha YBR125 and Honda CB125F will be competitors for the new bike.
It is powered by a 125cc air-cooled single-cylinder petrol engine with 10.45 horsepower (hp) and 9.2 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque.
It has a curb weight of 126 kilograms and a fuel economy of 42 kilometers per liter, according to various international bike reviewers. It has a 5-speed constant-mesh transmission and a return shift pattern.
The front disc brake has dual piston callipers, and the rear drum brake. Suspension is provided by dual inverted fork tubes up front and spring-loaded shock absorbers in the back.
According to market speculation, Yamaha has timed its offer to coincide with the launch of the GSX 125 in order to sway customers in its favour. It remains to be seen whether this will be the case.
